EMWD is the Eastern Municipality Water District and is the organization responsible for providing water through the Riverside District in California. The EMWD’s next General Manager, Joe Mouawad, was selected by the EMWD Board. Originally established in 1950, this company was created to provide water to the agricultural interests in the area’s emergency situations, but it didn’t take long before it expanded to begin servicing domestic customers as well. Along with its primary sources of water, it also sources 33% of its water directly from recycled sources, striving to maintain renewable and responsible resources for its customer base.
