About Chili’s Restaurant

Dallas, Texas saw the opening of the first Chili’s in 1975 when Larry Lavine saw an opportunity in the restaurant market that needed addressing. He wanted a comfortable restaurant with an informal air and full service that wouldn’t break the bank. 

Five years later the company was on a significant rise, and would soon have 28 restaurants in operation. 1983 saw the first sale of the restaurant chain, but not the end of its growth. Today, there are over 1,600 locations open throughout the world, providing the great environment that was part of Lavine’s vision to millions of customers every year.
